We are a multi-disciplinary, RCVS accredited specialist lead referral centre within the county of Essex, where we work to the highest standards of veterinary care for pets, creating a seamless experience for them and their owners. Your role and responsibilities

Southfields Veterinary Specialists are currently recruiting for a talented nurse to support our existing teams in providing exceptional care to our patients.

As part of our growing Cardiology team, consisting of a consultant, intern, nurses, and support staff, you will see a large and varied referral and emergency caseload, allowing you to work within an exceptional team and develop your career whilst being exposed to cases from a range of disciplines. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to the service and its patients.

As a Cardiology Nurse, you will care for patients requiring medical and surgical management of a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, acquired heart diseases, congenital heart diseases, arrhythmias, and interventional cardiology.

You will have a good understanding of cardiology which, following an induction alongside our team, will allow you to support patients undergoing procedures including echocardiography, electrocardiography, radiography, Holter monitoring and fluoroscopy. 

This is the perfect opportunity for the Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a keen interest in cardiology to develop their understanding and practical abilities alongside our experienced team of specialists and RVNs. 

You will be required to liaise with all disciplines to facilitate gold standard patient care through effective communication from the point of admitting through to discharge.

This is an exciting time to join Southfields as we expand our offering and invest in new services in preparation to move to our 40,000SQFT. purpose-built practice, providing all disciplines with state-of-the-art facilities to support our growing caseload.

Referral experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided.
