West Midlands Veterinary Referrals is a veterinary hospital based near Burton on Trent offering only referral services. WMR work in support of their colleagues in general practice, taking cases that can’t be managed at their usual general practice and we see patients from across the country. We welcome a very wide range of surgical cases including orthopaedic and soft tissue.

At Burton on Trent we have a purpose-built facility to provide comprehensive surgical treatment, advanced imaging, patient monitoring and the diligent aftercare that many referral cases require. We are well equipped with CT, endoscopy, orthopaedic and arthroscopy equipment, DR and CR X-Ray, Doppler ultrasound, 4 operating theatres, separate cattery & kennels, 6 consulting rooms (one for felines only) and more.

At WMR our team of 7 vets, all of whom are certificate holders in surgery, are supported by a fantastic nursing and front of house team.

We are proud to have been awarded the ISFM Cat friendly silver award & the IIE bronze award for sustainability.

Nearby Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent are market towns in Staffordshire, England, close to the border with Derbyshire. There is lots to do locally and a fantastic community feeling. There is plenty to occupy in your free time with the Peak District and plenty of rural venues nearby. The city of Birmingham is very accessible. East Midlands and Birmingham international airports are in easy reach.
