North Downs Specialist Referrals is one of the longest established private veterinary referral practices in the UK. Purpose-built and situated in an attractive, rural and sought-after part of Surrey, we are within easy access of Gatwick and Heathrow airports and 20 minutes from London by train.

We have a large, varied and interesting caseload providing imaging support for 30 Specialists in orthopaedic, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, dentistry and dermatology. We also have a growing interventional radiology caseload.

We are looking to open a residency program in 2022.

 

Roles and responsibilities 

We are looking for an additional Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging (RCVS, European or American board certified or eligible to sit the board examinations) to join our current team of three diagnostic imaging specialists. We would give consideration to candidates wanting a full or part-time position, including shared with teleradiology roles. We are looking to fill this position anytime in the next 12 months.

Imaging facilities currently include a dedicated imaging suite with recently installed Toshiba 1.5T MRI and CT, Philips Epiq 5 Ultrasound, Phillips BV Endura C arm, digital radiography. All imaging modalities are linked to Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). The diagnostic imaging team is supported by 3 advanced imaging radiographers.

You will be remunerated in line with other Specialist-level positions and will be eligible for an annual bonus and other generous package incentives.
