Salary: From £45,000 to £65,000 - Depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days, 1:4 weeknights and 1:4 Weekends, and a work vehicle provided for business use.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven, and experienced equine vet to join Shires Vets in Staffordshire.

Shires Vets Equine in Eccleshall is expanding, and we're seeking a dedicated vet to join our dynamic team. With a focus on providing exceptional equine care, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our growing practice.

We are a dedicated, and highly knowledgeable team who balance knowledge and practical experience with the latest developments and innovative techniques. We are a progressive practice who take great pride in offering the highest level of care.

Based in Eccleshall, we cover a 30-mile radius with our own out of hours, emergency service, and offer a comprehensive range of services from pre-purchase examinations and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics - including lameness investigation and ultrasound.

We have a high level of kit for ambulatory practice, digital XR, gastroscope, respiratory scope, shock wave, laser, and each vet has their own motorised dental kit, scanners etc.

About us

Shires Vets Equine is located in the picturesque Staffordshire market town of Eccleshall and has been part of the local community for over 80 years.  Starting with just a couple of visionary veterinarians, the practice has grown to over 20 vets with separate Farm, equine and small animal departments.  We operate throughout Staffordshire and parts of Cheshire and Shropshire.

Here at Shires we organise regular client evenings alongside nutritionists, farriers and other industry professionals and we are often involved within our local community including sponsoring local events such as the Eccleshall Show, client education nights and local competitions.
