Job description

Wear Referrals (part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, owned by Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, specialist veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle, and set between the north east coast and the Pennines. Our award winning hospital is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and Scotland.

Our specialist services include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology, as well as a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service and in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.

We have a vacancy for a Facilities and Maintenance Lead. The successful applicant will oversee and coordinate all facilities and general maintenance issues in the hospital and surrounding grounds including gardening.

This varied ‘hands on role’ will include some basic maintenance duties, as well as managing onsite works, sourcing, booking and overseeing external contractors.

The role is 24 hours per week, with flexibility on days and times of work to suit both the applicant and business needs.

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stockton-On-Tees, TS21 2ES: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
