608 Vets was first founded in 1932 and has been at its main hospital site at 608 Warwick Road, Solihull since 1951. In addition to the main hospital there are two further branch practices. The experienced 608 team work to provide excellent quality patient care and offer a full range of primary care services.

The Warwick Road site is an RCVS-Accredited Small Animal Practice, with well equipped facilities including ultrasound, digital radiography including dental radiography and an advanced in-house laboratory run by an experienced lab technician. The hospital provides 24-hour care and has a dedicated emergency team.

608 Vets have previously been involved in the Linnaeus Graduate Development Programme and are ready to welcome a new graduate in 2022 into their friendly and supportive team.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Starting salary from £34,000 with a review at 12 months

  • In-practice primary mentor and trained VetGDP Adviser
  • In-practice secondary mentor

Education:

Graduate Development Programme (GDP):

  • 12 core educational days including an intensive pre-start training camp
  • Focus on fundamental primary care clinical and professional skills

Early Careers Programme (ECP):

  • Up to 10 days of CPD, including core educational days on more advanced topics
  • Flexibility to attend CPD of your own choice
  • Graduate specific practical training days
  • Additional CPD opportunities outside of the GDP – conference attendance, external CPD, practice visits
  • Access to an extensive online resource library with 150+ hours of on-demand content
  • Access to exclusive Linnaeus CPD courses free of charge.

Ongoing Development:

  • Permanent contract within Linnaeus Veterinary Limited
  • Support to map out your own career journey
  • Flexibility to move within the Linnaeus family on graduation.
