Village Vet is a group of practices that covers the locations of London, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire. Maida Vale is a well-established, RCVS accredited, small animal primary care practice based in a picturesque west London suburb. We provide a comprehensive service to pets and clients and a stimulating clinical environment for our highly valued team.

The nearest tube station to the practice is Warwick Avenue, which is part of the Bakerloo line.

The walk score for this location is 96/100, where the area is highly accessible to shops, cafes and is in distance of Rembrandt Garden and Paddington Green for those who want to enjoy a walk around the local area.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

The Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse is key to the business's ability to provide a high level of clinical standards to support the profitability and further growth of the practice

The Lead RVN will ensure that patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective. Working enthusiastically with your team you will help maintain a happy, efficient working environment whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.

Main purpose & goals

  • Maintain an overview of the nursing team and provision of patient care across the practice
  • Managing your site and team by working with the wider Village Vet nurse team and the Regional Support Manager in order to achieve this
  • Demonstrating an excellent work protocol in all nursing duties including the ability to recognise and undertake relevant actions with the provision of nursing duties
  • Take an active role in the training programme of veterinary nurses and/or patient care assistants
  • Approximately 95% of the role will be clinical duties, allowing 5% for administration that may come with that role including a share of the on-call (EIN) rota.

Hours: 42 hours per week, including 1:4 Saturdays (9am – 2pm). Fixed-term contract (12-month parental leave cover)
