Your role and responsibilities 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our vibrant Neurology nursing team working in a busy, purpose-built hospital that is fully equipped with facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary centre. The position will involve all aspects of nursing care for inpatients.

You will have excellent all-around nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment, whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not necessary, as full training will be provided.

You can expect daily opportunities to learn and develop your skills!

This is a ward-based position that focuses on hands-on, exemplary nursing care based on the individual needs of each patient. The Neurology Nurse is highly involved with all aspects of nursing care for patients with varied neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, inflammatory CNS conditions, seizures and spinal surgeries. Due to the types of illness, many of our patients will be hospitalised for relatively long periods of time, so this role does provide the opportunity to get to know patients as individuals and to see the development in their recovery. Although fast-paced and busy, this is a very rewarding role.

This is a full-time position, working on a rota of 40 hours per week between the hours of 06:30 and 18:30, Monday to Friday and a 1:4 weekend rota
