We are a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary referral small animal practice, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire with great access to the city and countryside. With our practice being RCVS accredited to Small Animal Veterinary Hospital level, it allows us to provide outstanding levels of care to our patients with a kind and compassionate approach. Our Paragon team is committed to the highest quality of care and the excellence of service assuring patients get the best possible treatment. 

We have fantastic imaging facilities, including MRI, CT, echocardiography, bedside ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. We also have very spacious wards and a dedicated ICU space. Clinical services offered include Anaesthesia, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Internal medicine, Soft tissue and Reproduction.

 

Your role and responsibilities:

We are looking for an Oncology Intern to join our well-established and busy Oncology service. You will be a clinician who is interested in Oncology and would ideally like to pursue a career within this discipline. Some oncology experience would be beneficial, however full training will be provided to develop a skill set in diagnosing and managing oncological conditions.

Our Oncology Service is run by a double-boarded Diplomate in Medical and Radiation Oncology. This role will assist with managing chemotherapy cases and our new superficial radiation service.

Minimum requirements to apply – 18 months’ post-graduate experience in practice.
