Your role and responsibilities

Village Vet Milton is a bustling 24hour Veterinary Hospital located on the north side of Cambridge.

Hours

  • On average 45.5 hours
  • 5 nights on, 5 nights off
  • Covering 7:15pm to 8:15am

We currently seeking an enthusiastic animal lover to join as a Night Patient Care Assistant, working enthusiastically within the team to help maintain a happy, efficient and effective working environment.

Our Patient Care Assistants undertake a variety of duties as directed by the Veterinary Surgeons and/or Registered Veterinary Nurses and duties or responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining Infection control
  • Preparing and maintaining patient accommodation
  • Assisting with patient handling and restraint
  • Monitoring, recording and providing supportive care to patients, under the direction of the Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Assisting with diagnostic techniques including the preparation of equipment, processing and/or packaging for external laboratories
  • Maintenance of theatre to include preparation of the environment and equipment and cleaning, packaging and sterilisation of sterile supplies.

Previous experience is advantageous but training and support for the role will be provided.
