Pets’n’Vets Roundhouse Hospital is a friendly and progressive primary care and referral Practice based in Glasgow’s Southside. Our team of receptionists, RVNs, PCAs and vets are amongst the best in the business!

Due to career progression into veterinary nursing, our PCA manager will be leaving this position in August. This leads to an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be trained into this role by the current Team Lead.

Your role and responsibilities

The role will focus primarily in managing and supporting the Roundhouse Patient Care Assistant Team within the hospital as well as working alongside other line management to ensure a smooth running of the hospital on a day-to-day basis.

The PCA Manager will also have good knowledge of order protocols, kits and equipment in use, a great understanding of all sterilizing procedures, patient prep, scrubbing protocols, good knowledge of lab procedures (internal and external), cleaning protocols and be able to confidently demonstrate these protocols/procedures with ease. 

Position will be Monday-Friday 8.30-5.00 and will not be included in night or weekend cover.

Candidate will also be required to work closely with Lab Manager and Roundhouse Referral PCA and will be required to fill in for either role during holidays/sickness.

This position will not be included in the ongoing PCA shift rotation but may be required to cover essential shifts due to sickness/holidays due to any staff shortage.
