We are a veterinary hospital based in Worksop, providing high standards of care where we offer fantastic 24-hour inpatient care. We’re also a friendly bunch of highly skilled professionals, who put the health and wellbeing of pets first.
We are a well-equipped practice with a comprehensive in-house lab, ultrasound machine, DR x-ray system, CT scanner, dedicated nurse consulting room and more. We are recognised by International Cat Care as a Gold Level Cat-Friendly Clinic for the special care and consideration we give to our feline patients by providing a separate cat waiting area, consulting rooms and wards.
We have a large Vet team with a variety of service & experience levels including certificate holders in medicine, surgery, feline medicine and more. We are also supported by a wonderful nursing & front of house team. Retention and the well-being of our team is very important to us and we are delighted that some of our team members have been part of Wildbore Vetstop for over 25 years. We all have our own professional interests, and we are happy to support certificates where possible. We have a fantastic client base some of whom have been returning to us for many years.
Here at Wildbore Vetstop we see a good mixture of routine and advance surgeries/consultations.
Wildbore Vetstop are based in a perfect location with lots to enjoy in the great outdoors locally such as cycling, horse riding, walking and more. We are close to the peak district and Clumber park too. If you prefer to explore the local cities Sheffield is on our doorstep with lots to offer day and night and Nottingham & Doncaster are also easily accessible. Leeds/Bradford & Doncaster/Sheffield airport are a short drive away.
Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a keen interest in first opinion work to join our team of 13 RVN’s and 6 students. You will work in all areas of the hospital with shifts in our wards and theatres and work with clients where we offer an extensive range of nurse consultations.
Alongside our primary care services, we offer additional surgical cases such as cruciate surgeries, fracture repairs, complex soft tissue surgeries and medical workups.
On a variety of shifts covering the hours between 8 am and 8 pm, working one in nine weekends. Weekday shift lengths are either 8 or 9 hours in length with weekend shifts being 12 hours. Generous downtime is provided, often resulting in a 4-day week.
