Folly Gardens are a three-branch practice in and around the Cheltenham area. Our Cheltenham clinic is a developing clinic that offers a range of consulting and operating services. The result of hard work over a number of years by husband-and-wife team Brad and Sally, Folly Gardens is a thriving group within the Gloucestershire area and is proud to have recently joined Linnaeus Veterinary Group. Our main clinic based in Tewkesbury offers more advanced procedures including orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, ophthalmology and diagnostic referrals as well as CT scanning.  We also have a clinic in Bishops Cleeve offering a range of primary care services.

 

Your role and responsibilities

Our Cheltenham branch is a satellite clinic functioning with an experienced team who are also keenly interested in working through medical cases. Born in 2016, our Cheltenham branch offers a local, village feel with a loyal client base.

You will be part of the nursing team of three based within the clinic supported by a larger team of nurses based within the other clinics. Your duties will include nurse consults, vet support in consults and theatre as well as some reception duties. You will work with the branch team to develop the services and aid the growth of the clinic.

Covering 22.25 hours per week across 2 days and 1 full day on a 1:4 Saturday rota you will ideally be confident in anaesthesia monitoring as well as an all-round nurse and in return, we can offer you a fantastic team with an ethos of support and honouring clinical motivations.  We have no out of hours (OOH) and no sole charge, so you always feel supported or have the camaraderie of your colleagues close by. 

Hours: Monday & Thursday 1.00 – 7.00 pm, Friday either 8 am – 5 pm OR 10 am – 7 pm (with 1 hr lunch) Plus 1 in 4 Saturday 8 am – 5 pm (with 30 min lunch) Equals average 22.25 hrs per week.

Our team and their accolades speak for themselves!  We are lucky to have a nursing population comprising of certificate holders within ECC, medical nursing, anaesthesia as well as passions for behaviour and consulting, including puppy clinics and parties. Our Vet team boasts Ortho, Soft Tissue and GP Cert holders as well as additional passions in imaging and dermatology.  We also have a visiting Referral Specialist within Ophthalmology weekly as well as an Imaging Specialist on hand when required. You will not only be supported by our strong and capable clinical team but also our practice support and client care teams are on hand to ensure the practice and teams move seamlessly together.
