We have an exciting opportunity for 2 residents in Anaesthesia to join our team at Dick White Referrals! One position starts in June and the other will start in November.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of specialists, residents and interns (cardiology, cardiac surgery, clinical and anatomical pathology, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, physiotherapy and soft tissue surgery) and nurses. 

You will work as part of our team of 4 residents and receive direct training and supervision from our 7 ECVAA/ACVAA Diplomates and 1 post-residency clinician. The resident will also work with a team of 4 dedicated anaesthesia nurses. Dick White Referrals has a nearly 15 year history of successful training of anaesthesia residents.  

You will benefit from both a busy and dynamic clinical environment and formal training. Residents will participate in hospital rounds, journal clubs, book clubs and are encouraged to attend continuing professional development sessions provided by senior members of staff and to be enrolled in research. Belonging to Linnaeus, there will also be a large amount of teaching and research resources. 

Dick White Referrals works in partnership with Newmarket Equine Hospital (NEH). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at the NEH supervised by one ECVAA/ACVAA Diplomate. Newmarket Equine Hospital is an independent first-class hospital with a team of over 40 veterinary surgeons focusing on all aspects of equine practice. At the NEH, an average of over 800 horses are admitted for a wide variety of clinical procedures performed under general anaesthesia. Externships are arranged to accommodate a collection of farm animal and exotic species cases.
