• Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Brighouse

Location: Hours: Full time, Part time Practice: Broadway Veterinary Surgery Salary: Up to £65,000 Practice Details Broadway Veterinary Surgery

Broadway Vets have been established for over 40 years offering high standards of Primary Care to small animals across Merseyside, with sites in Heswall, Higher Bebington & Wallasey.

All three of our sites are well equipped with dental suites, operating theatres and ultrasound machines. We also have endoscopy in our Bebington branch and radiography suites and dental x-ray in our Bebington and Heswall branches. We have in-house labs; haematology, biochemistry & microscopy.

Our varied caseload means our days are split between consultations, surgeries and ECC. No two days are the same! Case continuity is important to us and we try to offer this wherever possible.

We are very lucky with our location, being based in the beautiful Wirral, all within 10 miles of the hustle and bustle of Liverpool city centre and just a short commute to Chester! If you prefer the sea air, we are very close to some wonderful seaside towns such as New Brighton, West Kirby, and Hoylake. Liverpool and Manchester airports are easily accessible too by great road and train links.

Roles and responsibilities

We have a fantastic team here at Broadway Vets, who all support each other and often discuss clinical cases. Our five vet team includes a certificate holder in dermatology. Our Veterinary Surgeons are supported by brilliant nursing and client care teams. We have a mix of service lengths within the team from welcoming more recent joiners to over 30 years’ service! We truly value every member of our team.

We are passionate about superior care and offering a wide range of routine primary care services. We are a veterinary nursing training practice affiliated with Myerscough College in Preston and provide placement facilities for undergraduate degree-level veterinary nurses and student veterinary surgeons.

Our size, locations, experience, and varied caseload means that we can support a range of skill sets and continued professional development aspirations be that medical, surgical or Leadership. We would also be particularly keen to hear from Veterinary Surgeons with exotic certificates or interests.

We are proud of the career progression and support that we can offer within Broadway and the wider Linnaeus group. We are keen to support certificates where we can and there are leadership and mentorship roles available within Broadway.
