Board Certified Soft Tissue Surgeon

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced soft tissue surgeon to join Northwest Veterinary Specialists.  The applicant needs to be a board certified (ECVS/ACVS/RCVS) surgeon. The position will be a purely soft tissue surgery role and the successful applicant must be keen to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. 

This exciting role will require the candidate to:

  • Provide clinical services as a specialist consultant in soft tissue surgery cases.
  • Work with the surgery team for the development of the soft tissue service
  • Support and develop the surgery team, in particular by supervising and teaching residents, interns, and nurses
  • Work collaboratively with all other services and foster good interdepartmental relationships
  • Demonstrate professional standards that will advance patient care.
  • Contribute fully to an equal share of the out of hours rota with time off in lieu following weekend cover.

Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a leading referral-only specialist small animal hospital in Cheshire.  We are a true multidisciplinary hospital with departments in orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging.  Each of the clinical disciplines is staffed to European Diplomate or RCVS Specialist standards.  We run European approved residency programmes in small animal surgery, neurology and oncology.  The hospital is equipped to a very high standard and provides excellent inpatient facilities with qualified RVNs and veterinary interns on-site 24/7.  Imaging includes computed radiography, fluoroscopy (C-arm with digital subtraction and road-mapping), ultrasonography and on-site MRI and CT.
