North Downs Specialist Referrals (NDRS) is one of the longest established private veterinary referral practices in the UK. Purpose-built and situated in an attractive, rural and sought-after part of Surrey, we are within easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports and 20 minutes from London by train.

We have a large, varied and interesting caseload providing imaging support for 30 Specialists in Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Dentistry and Dermatology. We also have a growing interventional radiology caseload.


Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for an additional Specialist Surgeon to join our team of four surgeons. We have a large and diverse Soft Tissue caseload due to established Oncology and Internal Medicine services in the hospital. Our caseload would allow us to accommodate candidates keen to perform either Soft Tissue surgery only or soft tissue with some Orthopaedic surgery. Candidates should either be a European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), RCVS or American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) diplomate or eligible to sit these examinations. 

NDSR is one of the leading referral centres in the UK with 33 diplomates in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging and Anaesthesia.  The hospital is purpose built and has state of the art facilities including a 4 theatre sterile suite including fluoroscopy, harmonic scalpel, 4K thoracoscopy/ laparoscopy and onsite CT and 1.5T MRI.
