Location: Hours: Primary Care, Full time Practice: Park Vet Group Salary: Up to £50,000 Practice Details Park Vet Group

Due to our continued success, we have some exciting opportunities available across The Park Vet Group.

The Park Vet Group was established over 100 years ago and are a multi-site, primary care and referral small animal, and farm animal group of practices spread across Leicestershire. With sites in Whetstone, Glenfield, Saffron Lane & Scraptoft Lane, all of our sites are self-sufficient and are fully equipped. Our sites run independently and see their own varied caseloads. We also have referral interests in, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, small animal soft tissue surgery and a dedicated emergency hospital service, 24 hours a day at the Glenfield Hospital.

As an Associate at The Park Vet Group, you will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic, large, team of vets across our sites (including certificate holders in imaging, surgery, and advanced practitioners in ophthalmology. We also have surgeons studying towards medicine & critical care certificates.) Across the group we also have an experienced nursing team (including two surgical diploma holders) & a wonderful front of house team too who support us daily. Here at The Park Vet Group, we do offer some fantastic referral, out-of-hours (OOH), and advanced services, but we equally champion our primary care vets and the fantastic service we can offer for routine and first opinion caseloads also. As a team, we often discuss clinical cases and have monthly team meetings to share knowledge and communications. We often work closely with Willows, a local referral site, to run additional in-house CPD events. We run a journal club and enjoy socialising events outside of work too, when possible. It is fair to say that we all get on well as a team and enjoy our working days together. We have a real team spirit, and any new associates will be warmly welcomed.

Our variety of experience levels means that we have been able to offer a fantastic new graduate programme that offers great support. We are a nurse training practice and work closely with local universities & training colleges too. We, therefore, have plenty of opportunities for mentoring if this is something you enjoy.

Our branch sites are well equipped as is our Glenfield Tier 3 PSS Hospital, which includes kit such as; digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, CT, ASIF and Synthes kits, TPLO/TTA/Tightrope, arthroscopy & Biomedtrix THR kits, exotics ward and orthopaedics department.

In your spare time, there is lots to enjoy locally. The Park Vet Group is based in the wonderful city of Leicester which is the largest city in the East Midlands. Leicester is a modern city steeped in years of history and there is lots to do locally whether you enjoy the great outdoors/countryside or prefer the Hustle and bustle of the city. East Midlands and Birmingham airport are less than a one-hour drive away and you can visit lots of other cities in under 2 hours, including the capital.
