Your role and responsibilities

Opportunity to join our progressive team as a Veterinary Surgeon

Maven Veterinary Care have an opening for an experienced surgeon to join their multiple award-winning team. Maven has currently 9 Vets, 6 of whom have post graduate certificates, as well as a well established support staff.

Maven is a 100% small animal, progressive Veterinary Practice with Practice Standards Hospital Accreditation and four outstanding RCVS Awards, Gold Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic, outstanding facilities, and award winning design. There is also state-of-the-art equipment throughout including capnography, multi-parameter GA monitoring, bear-huggers, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.

Maven’s clients are dedicated and bonded and want the highest quality people to be looking after their pets. They want diagnoses rather than drugs, and are advocates for the practice, which is long-established in the area. Maven are supported with 24 hour provision from Vets Now who are on site to provide their afterhours service.


  • Patient/Clinical care - Delivering a high level of clinical care to standards in conjunction with the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme
  • Client care - The delivery of client satisfaction to an exceptional level as defined by Village Vet. This includes making all your interactions with clients fully focused on delivering value, exceptional service and warmth to the clients
  • Teamwork– Working within the team, to contribute your skills, efforts and personal strengths to help ensure a harmonious team ethos at all times
