We are equally proud of our purpose-built Veterinary Roundhouse Hospital in Glasgow’s Southside, providing both primary care and referral surgery services year-round.

As a group we are progressive, committed to the ongoing development of our practices and teams. We currently have an amazing opportunity to welcome a dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeon at our wonderful Blantyre practice and there has never been a better time to join us!

  • Full & part time applications welcomed.
  • 4 day working week.
  • Working either a Saturday or Sunday (at our Roundhouse hospital) on a shared rota basis.
  • No OOH’s

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Pets’n’Vets your role would primarily be based at our Blantyre practice, which is a sole charge site, supported by a dedicated nurse, receptionist and PCA. Serving the local community is key in this branch with case continuity a priority. Services on site include some lab facilities, routine surgery, and consulting. Proximity to our neighbouring Hairmyres branch or the Roundhouse hospital ensure all other facilities can be easily accessed and there is scope for this position to be split between the Roundhouse Hospital and Blantyre branch if this is preferred.

As a group, high standards are very important to us. Our hospital and branches are RCVS accredited and the Roundhouse is a silver ISFM cat friendly clinic. Our Roundhouse referral team were also awarded highly commended in the RCVS 2021 Knowledge awards for auditing TPLO outcomes and client satisfaction. The Roundhouse Hospital has excellent, purpose-built facilities, with extensive kit including a fabulous Ultrasound scanner, ECG, Endoscope and Bronchoscope and regular visiting CT scanning.

We have a wonderful, friendly team at Pets’n’Vets and any new associates will be warmly welcomed. As a team we all support each other, with regular clinical and whole team meetings. The team are all passionate, dedicated veterinary professionals who pride themselves on offering high standards of care, while identifying areas to further improve. Our large Vet team includes a variety of different experience levels and includes certificate holders in Surgery, ECC, Cardiology and Medicine. You will also be supported by experienced Nursing, PCA, Reception and Admin teams. As part of our interview process, we are happy to invite you to visit us, meet the team and see how we work before deciding if we are the practice for you!

Our varied and advanced caseloads, alongside our knowledgeable team mean that we can support most areas of interests and we actively encourage professional development, so please do speak to us about any professional interests or certificate goals you may have. If mentoring is something that you really enjoy, we have ample opportunity to be involved with this at Pets’n’Vets too!

We have a fantastic client base and build great rapport with our clients. We feel this alongside our high standard of care and treating every pet like they were our own is why some of our clients have been visiting us for many years.

Pets’n’Vets are delighted to be part of Linnaeus with almost 180 sites across the UK and Ireland. We are part of a growing community of like-minded veterinary professionals who are passionate about what they do. There are lots of career progression opportunities available such as leadership and mentorship roles within Pets’n’Vets, as well as opportunities to move into clinical and non-clinical roles within the wider group.
