Meet our highly talented Veterinary nurse, Trish Scorer. Throughout her professional journey, she has embarked on an exciting path that has been marked by a multitude of impressive accomplishments and achievements.

Trish ImageTrish's career journey started in 1995, when she began her nurse training and once qualified, joined a primary care practice to kickstart her nursing career. Early on, she also started working in academia as an internal quality assessor, lecturer, and OSCE examiner. Trish was self-employed for most of this work, which worked well with having a family. She continued this mix of work for many years until the University of Bristol employed her as Lead IQA.

In 2020, she joined Linnaeus, where she helped set up the Pre-Registration Experience team as part of central support. Along with colleagues Lucy and Larissa, Trish worked with them to help support the success of patient care assistants and student veterinary nurses throughout their training and development.

Moving into her role at Mars Veterinary Health as a Nursing Education and Development Manager was a great opportunity for Trish, who had an interest in strategic planning that would help create the nursing strategy for MVH (International). Her experiences and skills, along with her knowledge of the industry to date, stood her in good stead when she was offered the role and to take on this new challenge. She now plays a crucial role in evaluating nursing career paths and clinical nursing education for MVH International across our European and Asian practices, instilling confidence in her ability to drive positive change.

Trish herself has shared what she loves about being a veterinary nurse:

"What's not to love about being a veterinary nurse? Even in these challenging times, we are kind, clever, patient centred, multi-tasking, team players, with an unrivalled passion to promote our profession. I always say, 'If you want to get a job done, ask a veterinary nurse'!"

Trish's journey is a testament to her dedication to the veterinary nursing profession. Her passion for strategic planning and education, along with her experience in the industry, led her to her role at Mars Veterinary Health. She continues to make a positive impact on the profession, ensuring that nursing career paths and clinical nursing education are evaluated and improved across MVH International's practices.
