Career Pathway Opportunities
The journey of transitioning from a primary care nurse to a referral nurse is the most common pathway into the specialism sector.
At Linnaeus, we are here to support you, whatever stage you are at in your career. Progression is key across our group. You can move into different job roles that vary in specialisms and practice areas across our hospitals. Our progression options include becoming a ‘static or fixed’ nurse in a specific area, for example working solely in theatre or becoming a medicine nurse. Each practice will have slightly different roles but will offer the chance to find and develop your niche. Further to specialising in an area, options could include a leadership role, such as a theatre leader or nurse team leader.
Most of our referral practices are multi-disciplinary, which allows for cross-collaboration and multicentric input.
