Part Time Veterinary Receptionist

Forest Veterinary Centre

Epping, Harlow and Woodford

This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, various shifts available , these will be varied between all three surgeries, including weekends.

You will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team in our busy small animal hospital in Epping, our brand new Harlow practice and our smaller Woodford branch. We believe our receptionists are key in providing the excellent client care we pride ourselves on.

Forest Veterinary Centre is a well-established primary care practice providing excellent levels of veterinary care. Our main hospital is at Epping where we also provide an out of hours service for several other practices in the local area. We also have branch surgeries at Harlow, Woodford and the Isle of Dogs.

The role can be rather physical and demanding but also very interesting and varied! You will need to have the ability to remain calm under pressure, show empathy in each situation you encounter, have the ability to multitask, be reliable, punctual and have a passion for excellent customer care.

Day to day tasks of this role will include answering the phones, provide a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving, responding to emails, booking appointments, registering new clients, taking payments and keeping the reception area clean and tidy.

The successful candidate must have

- Experience in a reception or customer service role

- Good IT skills

- Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills

- Provide excellent customer service at all times

- Good organisational and prioritising skills

- The ability to stay focused under pressure and to multitask

- Flexibility for cover in the event of staff sickness or holiday

- Previous veterinary knowledge desirable but not essential
