Job Title: C​lient Care Coordinator (Veterinary Receptionist)

Salary: £12.33 per hour

Location: Cromwell Vets, St Neots

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Hours: 19.50 hours per week (Average over a four week period)

Shift pattern as follows:

Week 1

Monday 8.30am-6.30pm

Tuesday 8.30-1.30pm

Friday 8.30am-1.30pm

Week 2

Monday 8.30am-6.30pm

Tuesday 1.30pm-6.30pm

Friday 1.30pm-6.30pm

1 in 4 Saturdays or Sunday in Huntingdon (9hour day. Hours vary between 7.30am-7.00pm)

Cromwell Vets are looking for someone pro-active and friendly to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and provide support to our brilliant team. Ideal applicants will want to grow within the role and we offer BVRA training to support this!

 

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival

  • Answering the phone in a polite, clear and empathetic manner

  • Ensuring all enquiries at resolved efficiently

  • Managing the diaries effectively and ensure the smooth running of vet and nurse consults

  • Assisting with administrative duties including answering email enquiries and online booking requests.

  • Debt management -ensuring payments are taken at the time and chasing any outstanding balances

  • Occasional assisting the vet during consults with animal handling for bloods, euthanasia, second pair of hands

What we're looking for

  • A valid driving license is required. Must be flexible and able to cover shifts across all Cromwell branches.

  • Strong administration and organisation skills

  • Confident telephone manner

  • Reception or client care experience

  • Cash handling and till operation

  • Previous experience of working in a veterinary/doctors surgery (desirable)

  • IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum.
