Centrally located, Willows is within easy reach of Birmingham, Birmingham International Airport and the national rail and motorway networks, but only a short drive away from historic Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and beautiful Warwickshire countryside.

Willows has approximately +200 personnel, including almost 60 Veterinary Surgeons. Our philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between all members of staff, creating a supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.

Willows’ imaging facilities comprise of:

  • New Siemens Magnetom sola 1.5T MRI
  • New Siemens 64 slice Somatom CT
  • New Samsung RS85A ultrasound machine
  • Logiq S8 ultrasound
  • Two digital X-ray rooms
  • Two in-theatre image intensifiers (GE Fluorostar and Philips BV Pulsera).
  • Images are reviewed and reported in the spacious diagnostic imaging suite and stored on Fuji PACS, from which they are available throughout the practice. There is also off-site VPN access to PACS.

 

Roles and responsibilities

An opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in our Specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre. 

The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an RCVS, American or European Diploma (or equivalent) and share our aim of providing excellent levels of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons.

Willows Imaging team, comprising six Specialist diagnostic imagers, two residents, a highly experienced radiographer and six Imaging nurses, provides exceptional imaging support for our multi-disciplinary Specialists across medicine, soft tissue surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, orthopaedics and Emergency and Critical Care (ECC).

This is ideally a full-time position, however, a part-time position could also be considered.

Images are reviewed and reported in the spacious diagnostic imaging suite on osirix dedicated workstations and stored on Fuji PACS and Siemens Syngovia, from which they are available throughout the practice. There is also off-site VPN access to Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS).

The position will be well remunerated and the package includes generous time off for holidays, CPD and involvement in professional committees. Out-of-hours (OOH) emergency service provision is shared amongst the Imaging team.
