About us
Our rapidly expanding, state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital located in Livingston, between Edinburgh and Glasgow, is looking for an experienced RVN to join our team at Veterinary Specialist Scotland.
Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) is a multi-disciplinary referral hospital that opened in October 2020. The clinic premises have been purpose built to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care, while also providing a beautiful and pleasant working environment.
The team’s core values are excellence in patient, client, colleague, and referring vet care, and we place a strong emphasis on team and collaborative working. We are looking for Veterinary Nurses who share our ethos to help make VSS a supportive, stimulating, and enjoyable place to practise veterinary medicine and surgery to the highest standard.
Your role and responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team as an in-patient care nurse. This candidate will experience a varied and challenging caseload as they work within all ward areas of the hospital. Our in-patient care nurses are responsible for providing all aspects of basic and advanced nursing care, including monitoring and the formulation of nursing care plans, nutrition and assisted feeding techniques, post-operative care of surgical procedures, and recovery from medical procedures. At VSS, we encourage and support patient-friendly practice and place high standards of care at the forefront of everything we do.
Working within our dynamic clinical team, the successful candidates will ideally have a good background in referral work, however this is not essential.
