Your role and responsibilities 

Village Vet is seeking a Lead Clinical Director to manage and deliver clinical activities and financial performance across our Cambridgeshire region. The region has four practices and two hospitals (Whittlesford, Milton, Longstanton, Cottenham, Meldreth and Royston). These practices and hospitals have successfully served their communities for decades and have an excellent reputation. You will shape the region, leading by example via excellent communication skills, ensuring smooth working relationships between your teams, Central Support, and other practices within Linnaeus.

You will ensure that excellent clinical quality, Associate well-being, and engagement are an integral part of your business outputs, alongside a culture of being committed to excellence.

Working with the Regional Director and Central Support, you will:

  • Ensure the delivery & development of the highest quality clinical services
  • Actively promote a positive attitude to maintain health and mental wellbeing in the workplace
  • Oversee Clinical Standards & Quality Improvement
  • Ensure the highest levels of patient and client care through active leadership and engagement of practice teams
  • Set clinical and business strategies for the business units
  • Lead Senior Leadership Teams within the Cambridgeshire region to ensure delivery of key business objectives
  • Oversee all critical areas of the region, for example, leadership, business performance, Human resources (HR), Health & Safety (H&S) and Client Care
  • Lead and facilitate a culture of respect, collaboration, and engagement to drive wellbeing, harmony, quality, and productivity
  • Plan and deliver financial targets within your region.
