Veterinary Vision is a friendly, supportive and growing practice providing a veterinary ophthalmology referral service from Cumbria, the North East and Charnock Richard in the North West.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced veterinary nurse to join our team, based at our premises in Charnock Richard. Previous experience of ophthalmology is not required as full training will be provided.

This opportunity would suit a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who enjoys providing high standards of patient care.

Your role and responsibilities 

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, professional and dedicated nursing team, at a modern up-and-coming referral practice?

As a Lead RVN you will have managerial responsibility for a small team of nurses, with the support of the Clinical Nurse Manager.

This is a great opportunity to progress your nursing career into a leadership role whilst having the benefit of client/pet interaction.

The managerial role consists of ordering and organisation of the team and clinical practice but also still has hands-on nursing including admission of patients, pre-medicating, anaesthesia, scrubbing into intraocular procedures, recovery and discharge. Our nurses also take a role in the consult room assisting our Veterinary Ophthalmologists with ocular examinations and minor procedures.
