Your role and responsibilities
Village Vet has a rare and interesting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with 5+ years' experience to oversee and lead our Longstanton practice north of Cambridge.
This is a fantastic mid-sized general small animal veterinary practice, with a rich history and excellent reputation. A strong legacy of quality care and excellent customer service, Village Vet is a premium veterinary care provider. The very friendly and supportive team work closely with the Cottenham branch as well as the busy hospital based at Milton where there is access to medicine and ECC certificate holders and advanced practitioners. Internal referral of advanced orthopaedic and dentistry cases to our nearby Whittlesford practice is also utilised. The Village Vet Cambridge team work as a team!
The well laid out practice is light and airy, with excellent facilities and equipment. There are separate dirty and clean theatres, dental xray, multiparameter GA monitoring, Idexx blood machines and nurse clinics. The practice is at the heart of the local community and many loyal clients have been with the practice for decades. Local house building and the growth of nearby developments (Northstowe) means a greater demand for veterinary care is coming. We want Longstanton to grow as the region grows, so this role holds an amazing opportunity to build and contribute to the ongoing success of an already excellent practice.
