Dick White Referrals (DWR) is looking for an American or European Diplomate in Neurology to join our Neurology team, including 4 current diplomates, 2 residents, and 2 interns. Founded in 2003 by Professor Dick White, DWR has grown rapidly to become one of the largest private veterinary referral hospital in the UK. DWR is a busy, purpose-built specialist referral-only small animal veterinary hospital conveniently located in Cambridgeshire between Newmarket, the home of horse racing and Cambridge, with its world-renowned University and amenities.

DWR is moving into state-of-the-art facilities and the hospital is fully equipped with the surgical, diagnostic and hospitalisation facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary hospital and has an on-site reference laboratory with both in-house clinical pathology and diagnostic histopathology. As part of our ongoing drive for excellence, we have a new building underway onsite that will double the size of our facilities and create a truly world-class hospital. We are an Educational Partner with the University of Nottingham and we also have the Dick White Academy onsite and run regular CPD events. Within the anaesthesia team, we have twice weekly teaching sessions, including journal club, case discussions and formal presentations on basic sciences applied to anaesthesia.

The ideal candidate is an ECVN/ACVIM Neurology Diplomate wishing to work full-time or part-time with small animals and horses, but applications from Veterinary Surgeons who have completed a residency in Veterinary Neurology will also be considered. The position becomes available in early 2026. You will work alongside a team of approximately 40 Specialists in various disciplines (soft tissue, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, ophthalmology, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and pathology), who together strive to achieve clinical excellence.

Hours: Full-time. The out-of-hours on-call rota is 1:4, and when on-call during a weekend, two additional days of time off will be given to be spent within the following two weeks.
