Paragon Referrals is a multi-disciplinary referral centre, providing gold standard care to cats and dogs. Paragon is proud to have developed a specialist out of hours inpatient care nursing team, including an out of hours supervisor. The inpatient care teamwork throughout all of the wards, nursing a wide variety of patients.
Your role and responsibilities
This opportunity would suit a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who enjoys all aspects of inpatient nursing, including managing tubes and lines, caring for patients holistically, managing emergencies and providing high standards of care to a variety of canine and feline patients. We are looking for an individual who can work independently and part of a small group and also demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. The RVN would require outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
You will be working a 34 hour week Wednesday - Saturday
Key duties will include:
- Delivering nursing care plans to numerous inpatients
- Nursing intensive and critical patients
- Performing handover to the team between shifts
- Teaching and sharing knowledge
- Infection control
- 5 weeks holiday pro rata plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
