Job Title: Night Registered Veterinary Nurse

Salary: £31,513.86 (average 31.5 hours) or £36,028.50 (average 37.5 hours - with some day shifts)

Location: Blacks Vets, Dudley Hospital

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 7 nights on, 14 off, rolling 3 week rota to include weekends and bank holidays. Holiday allowance included. Average 31.5 hours per week. An option to increase to 37.5 hours per week by doing some days in 2 weeks off.

About the role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll act as a role model for the nursing team, positively encouraging and supporting new and existing team members, with good attendance and timekeeping.

 

We're really looking for someone who has strong and supportive team working skills, respectful interaction and communication with clients and colleagues in a positive, calm, emotionally intelligent manner, plus the ability to manage emotions.

 

As part of the night team you will be working alongside our dedicated team of night vets to provide a high standard of care to our inpatients and any emergencies that we may have. The role entails – taking phone calls, monitoring and caring for inpatients, keeping complete and accurate clinical records, assisting the vet with surgical procedures, dealing with emergencies, preparing for the next day, maintaining cleanliness
