Role: Veterinary Physiotherapist (Part-time)
Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital

Salary: £33,718 (pro-rated to £21,916.70 per annum)

Job type: Permanent, part-time

Hours: 26 hours per week, 3 days a week. Monday or Tuesday (8hours), Wednesday (8 hours) and Thursday (10 hours)

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary referral team at a busy RCVS accredited veterinary hospital in Swindon. You will work alongside veterinary specialists, surgeons, nurses and primary care vets to deliver exceptional rehabilitation and veterinary physiotherapy care to referred patients.

This role involves providing veterinary physiotherapy for both inpatients and outpatients, developing tailored treatment plans, maintaining clear clinical records, and communicating effectively with clients and referring veterinary surgeons. You will also have opportunities to contribute to CPD and training for colleagues and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality veterinary physiotherapy services to referred patients and inpatients.
  • Assess patients through physical palpation and clinical evaluation, explaining findings clearly to clients.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Maintain detailed clinical records and treatment documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with referring veterinary surgeons, providing updates and professional reports.
  • Deliver CPD and training sessions for internal colleagues, referring vets and professionals.
  • Support the development of veterinary residents, interns and paraprofessional staff.
  • Assist with promoting and developing the veterinary physiotherapy service through internal and external engagement.

Our well-equipped rehabilitation service includes:

  • INDIBA
  • Class 4 K-Laser
  • Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy (PEMF)
  • TENS and NMES
  • Handheld therapeutic ultrasound devices

What we’re looking for

  • Degree qualified in Veterinary Physiotherapy (minimum Level 6)
  • Experience working as a veterinary physiotherapist in a referral setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional, compassionate approach to patient care
  • Experience treating cats desirable
