Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Salary: Starting from £29,000
Location: Avonvale Veterinary Centres, Stratford upon Avon
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, 1:7 Saturday mornings.
Choose between working either 1:13 full weekends or 1:8 weeks of nights
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our talented and passionate nursing team!
Your role and responsibilities
Due to our skilled team of Veterinary Surgeons holding various certificates, we see a vast array of cases and refer very few, meaning you will be exposed to a wide variety of procedures and advanced nursing techniques. Our nurse team, equally as skilled in their areas of expertise, also boasts some fantastic longevity in service, one of our team having been with us for over 35 years.
We pride ourselves in our full nurse utilisation, incorporating consults as well as schedule 3 etc. into your working day, providing our nurses with great job satisfaction. Our nursing team includes people with interests in a wide variety of areas including anaesthesia, ECC and behaviour, therefore, opening the opportunity for you to grow your skills and expertise alongside our experienced team. We are also supported by our wonderful Patient Care Assistants who work alongside our nurses to achieve the highest standards of care for our patients.
The position will include some out of hours work, and would suit a self-motivated RVN with their own transport who is keen to develop their skills. You can choose between nights or weekends.
Candidate will be required to work across multiple sites as necessary and within reason.

Avonvale Vets are a group of seven Primary Care practices with over 40 years of experience. Having multiple certificate holders in surgery, imaging, and medicine, we take pride in continuously developing our employees' skills and interests within the veterinary industry.
Based in the sought-after area of Warwickshire, we have the best of both worlds with historic castles, beautiful countryside including the nearby Cotswolds and with the City of Birmingham only 30 minutes’ drive and London a direct train away. We are a very close-knit team and have both a summer social, visits from Annie’s Antics ice cream van and a Christmas party each year. We also love a team building event!
