We are a well-established, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accredited, small animal primary care practice that covers the locations of London, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire. Alongside all our primary care services we also have four 24-hour continuous care hospitals made up of our highly certified specialists and general practice staff to ensure the highest form of veterinary care for the benefits of pets and clients alike.   

 

Your role and responsibilities

Village Vet are seeking a proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their talented clinical team at their flagship Whittlesford hospital, on a full-time basis.

The hospital building was completed in 2012, is well-established and purpose built, providing an exceptional environment for our clients, patients and staff. The facilities include full digital diagnostic facilities, an on-site laboratory, full operating theatres, separate dog and cat hospital wards and a dental suite.

We have an experienced and empathetic team of vets, nurses and support staff, many with extra qualifications, to ensure that patients and clients receive the best care available.

You would be nursing to a very high standard, and duties include care of inpatients, nurse consultations and all aspects of surgical nursing.

This is a role where your nursing skills are utilised to their full potential and is a great opportunity for professional development in an area of your interest with further study actively encouraged and supported.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated RVN with any level of experience as we can provide strong support for those that may be recently qualified or new to a hospital environment.

We are dedicated to training the next generation of nurses, so a Clinical Coach qualification or willingness to work towards it would be highly advantageous.

Hours: Full-time (42hr/week average) 8hr shifts Monday – Friday and 1:6 weekends (with time off in lieu given for weekends worked)
