Are you looking for a veterinary nursing role within a small practice where you can really make a difference?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate part time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small but friendly team at our Avonvale Cubbington practice.
You’ll be working alongside a dedicated team in a branch where you’ll have the chance to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets. You’ll also benefit from the support of the larger Avonvale practices who as a group of practices, pride themselves on clinical excellence and fantastic patient care.
A fairly slow paced but routine practice, the role involves:
Nurse consults of a morning
Setting up and preparing for daily pre-ops
Assisting in consults and surgical procedures including monitoring anaesthesia
Assisting with general practice management duties, including diary schedules, stock control, compliance with practice standards and maintaining operational efficiency
Providing fantastic inpatient and outpatient care to our pets
The team:
Avonvale Cubbington is very proud of their strong relationships with their loyal client base most of whom have been with the branch for many many years. Included in that are the team of nurses and patient care assistants who have also worked at the branch for many years, all of whom are passionate about delivering exceptional clinical and client care in a friendly and collaborative environment.
What we’re looking for:
• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Excellent clinical skills and a proactive attitude
• Passion for delivering outstanding patient care
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch
What we offer:
Part-time position: Thursdays and Fridays, totalling 17.5 hours per week, with potential Saturday mornings at our Heathcote branch on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 6)
Salary starting from £29,993 per annum, depending on experience (Pro rated for part time hours)
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave (Pro rated for part-time hours)
Out-of-hours work compensated in addition to salary, with options to choose between nights or weekends
RCVS and VDS fees paid
Employer contribution pension scheme, 3% employer, 5% employee
