MVH Europe is a complex, multi-billion-dollar business operating across diverse markets. We are seeking a senior commercial leader to transform our regional procurement function from a set of effective country-level operations into a cohesive, strategic powerhouse.

This role is accountable for building and leading the future of procurement and supply chain for MVH Europe. You will set the vision for how we leverage our scale, drive enterprise-wide value, and build resilient, sustainable supplier partnerships--overseeing all sourcing, supplier management, procurement and supply chain operations to optimize cost, quality, and risk across all of our direct and indirect spend.

The role reports to the VP, Global Commercial and collaborates closely with European business unit leaders.

You Will:

Lead the European Commercial Strategy

  • Develop and execute a multi-year European procurement strategy that directly supports P&L targets, business growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Influence and partner with the European leadership team, translating business priorities into actionable commercial strategies for cost, quality, and supply resilience.
  • Identify and champion major value-creation initiatives, from strategic sourcing and supplier innovation to digital transformation and M&A integration.
  • Own and deliver on financial targets for procurement, including year-over-year cost savings, working capital improvements, and value-add contributions
  • Continually prove the value of the Commercial function as a key business partner to MVHE


Lead a High-Performing European Team

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of commercial excellence, strategic thinking, and accountabils.
  • Serve as the primary commercial business partner to the European executive team, influencing strategy and ensuring alignment across functions (Operations, Finance, DT, Marketing, P&O , etc.).ity.

Drive Commercial Value

  • Oversee strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management across direct and indirect categories
  • Drive supplier performance, value creation, innovation, and resilience through data-driven supplier segmentation and score-carding.
  • Showcase creative and innovative solutions achieved as a result of forward-thinking category strategies, effective supplier partnerships, and implementation to the individual clinic level


Drive Transformational Change & Operational Excellence

  • Lead the evolution of the procurement operating model, standardizing processes and driving compliance across a matrixed, multi-country organization.
  • Champion the adoption of digital procurement tools (e-sourcing, CLM, analytics), leveraging technology to create transparency, efficiency, and data-driven insights.
  • Oversee the strategic management of all European spend, deploying sophisticated category and supplier management frameworks to optimize value.
  • Establish and govern a robust supply chain risk and resilience program, protecting the business from disruption and volatility.


Champion Sustainability and Innovation

  • Lead ESG integration into supplier selection and performance, driving progress on our sustainability goals including carbon reduction, waste reduction and ethical sourcing.
  • Foster a culture of supplier-led innovation, creating partnerships that provide MVH with a competitive advantage in the marketplace

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and CIPS qualification
  • 15+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a significant regional or global leadership role overseeing multiple European markets..
  • Experience in a sophisticated, multi-site environment is critical (e.g., healthcare, pharma, FMCG, or large-scale retail--with experience in healthcare strongly preferred). Direct experience with M&A integration is highly advantageous.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: You think like a business owner. You see beyond sourcing to understand how commercial strategy drives enterprise value and P&L performance.
  • Transformational Leader: You have a demonstrated track record of building and transforming procurement functions, not just managing them. You challenge the status quo and are comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Stakeholder Influence: You are a master of stakeholder engagement, capable of building trust and aligning priorities with senior executives across cultures and functions.
  • Results-Driven: You have a history of delivering quantifiable results—not just cost savings, but also improvements in quality, risk, and supplier innovation.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
  • ERP and procurement systems experience (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrable achievements of cost saving as well as other value streams 
  • Strong commercial acumen to develop strategies
  • A creative thinker – ability to think around challenges and offer ideas and solutions.
