Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £20,820 (35 hours)

Location:  Southam, Coventry

Job Type: Permanent 

Hours: 35 hours per week 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist with Avonvale vets in Southam.


We are looking for someone to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and provide support to our friendly team.

This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not required. Ideal applicants will want to grow within the role, and we offer funded training, including courses with the BVRA, to support this.

The role is 35 hours a week across five days, with 1 in 12 Saturdays (paid in overtime) at our Warwick hospital branch.

Rota (subject to change)

  • Monday – 08:15-17.15

  • Tuesday – 08:30-19:00

  • Wednesday – 08:30-19:00

  • Thursday – 08:15-17.15

  • Friday – OFF
     

Roles and responsibilities include

  • Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner

  • Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures

  • Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone

  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc

  • Processing prescription requests

  • Taking payments

  • Promoting offers and services

  • Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked
