Small Animal and Exotics!

Village Vet Berkhamsted have a new opening for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Accommodation can be provided on a short or long term basis.

We are an established clinic in a lovely area with a high proportion of insured clients who are keen on working up cases properly. There is a good exotic case load as the head vet has an exotic certificate, giving you a chance to learn more if wanted, or reduce worry if they aren’t your preference. With a new custom built dental suite incorporating digital dental xrays, we ensure dentistry is carried out to a high standard. Surgery days are guaranteed each week.

We have all the usual toys: digital xray, ultrasound, lab, cautery and a highly engaged, amazing nursing team who are fully utilised to help us all work effectively as a team.

Rota: negotiable either 4 or 4.5/4 day alternating weeks, with a 1:3 Saturday rota at the practice and 1:12 at St Albans hospital. Lunch and finish times are protected, and on the rare cases overtime cannot be avoided it is accrued and then taken as TOIL. We have built in phone call/admin time every day to ensure that staff almost always finish on time.
