Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: From £60,000+ (D.O.E.) plus £5000 welcome bonus (direct applicants)

Location: Brentknoll Veterinary Centre, Worcester

Job Type: Permanent, full-time (part-time applicants welcomed)

Hours: 40 hours per week, 1:4 Saturday mornings (with time paid and a shorter following week), no OOH.

Due to our ever-expanding caseload, we are looking for an experienced Vet Surgeon with ideally a preference in Surgery, to join our team.

We are a long-established veterinary hospital based in Worcester, covering primary care, and referral that specialises in pets and small animals. Accredited with a silver Cat-Friendly Clinic award and RCVS in Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, we can provide the best quality care within our practice. We are also proud to be a training practice which means we are committed to supporting learning and development. Our team is dedicated, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile for any client or patient.

We are offering a salary starting at £60,000 with an upward scale dependent on experience. We can also offer a relocation package, certificate funding and visa support.

Brentknoll Vets has been caring for pets in the area for over 25 years and has a genuine family feel, with a new management team, fresh faces, with a motivated and supportive approach that are always on hand for both clinical and non-clinical support. We are fortunate to have a large support network of skilled clinical staff at Brentknoll but also the support of local expert referral centres, as part of Linnaeus, always alliable to give free support and advice. Experienced general practitioners including certificate holders in soft tissue, orthopaedics, cardiology, medicine, and diagnostic imaging. We also have a visiting referral orthopaedic team - this allows you to keep complex cases in-house and we encourage you to scrub in or lead the case alongside our supportive experienced team.

We have a range of state-of-the-art equipment which allows us to offer services that include but is not limited to: New Advance Ultrasound Machine (MylabX7VET) with touchscreen display, Onsite CT Toshiba 64 slice with on-site Diagnostic imager, In house Referral Service in Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Orthopaedics & soft tissue Surgery, Laparoscopy surgery kit, HD video Flexible Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy, Ridged rhinoscopy & arthroscopy, Rehabilitation Centre with onsite chiropractic, hydrotherapy, underwater incline Treadmill & Class VI laser unit. They also have dedicated rooms and spaces for dentals, dental X-rays, ultrasound, imaging, CD X-ray unit and radiography room, sterile surgery, pre-room and incubation unit, and separate cat, dog, and isolation wards.
