At Victoria Veterinary Practice, we’re looking for a friendly, motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team across our Glossop and Chapel-en-le-Frith practices.

You’ll have access to modern diagnostic equipment, including:

• Digital X-ray
• Dental X-ray
• In-house laboratory suite
• Recently upgraded ultrasound and endoscopy equipment
• A highly skilled and supportive nursing team

We also offer a range of additional services including acupuncture, physiotherapy and extensive nurse clinics. The practice is PSS scheme accredited and an ECC certificate holder.

Your week

This is a 4-day-per-week position, with weekends initially on a 1:7 rota, including Saturday morning consultations and inpatient duties.

Typical shifts include:

• 2 × 9am–6pm consulting days
• 1 × 9am–7pm operations/inpatient day
• 1 × 8am–4pm second operations day

You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team made up of:

• 6 Veterinary Surgeons
• 10 RVNs
• 1 PCA
• 9 Client Care Associates

across our two branches.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is:

• A supportive team player who enjoys working collaboratively
• Confident making clinical decisions and interpreting diagnostic results
• Comfortable managing a varied and occasionally complex caseload
• Able to explain clinical findings and treatment options clearly and compassionately to clients
• Adaptable and practical, with the ability to tailor treatment plans to individual patients
• Interested in developing their clinical skills and contributing to the continued growth of the practice
• Calm and confident when managing challenging situations

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about doing the best for their patients, their clients and their colleagues.
