Longstanding team members at a leading primary care vet group have been hailed after clocking up in excess of 400 years’ service combined.

Some 56 colleagues at Linnaeus-owned Village Vet, which has 30 practices across London, Hertfordshire and Cambridge, have been hailed by bosses after registering a remarkable combined 440 years working for the vets.

Leading the way is Alison Loftus, a veterinary nurse who works at Village Vet’s Highgate practice, and has just clocked up her 30th year of service, while three other team members including RVN Ita Crowley, veterinary surgeon Laura Woodward and small animal medicine clinician Alison Marney have all registered 20 years with Village Vet.

The remarkable statistics have been revealed after bosses at Village Vet took the time to highlight the long service by presenting each of the 50-plus members of the team with a gift.

Hadi Borhani regional director for Village Vet, said: “Village Vet is proud to have served communities across London, Hertfordshire and Cambridge for more than 30 years. Our strength lies in the skilled veterinary teams and support staff we recruit and promote.

“It gives me great pride to know that we have people who have been with us for many years, with some stretching across three decades.

“Thanks to our solid reputation within the veterinary sector and our longstanding commitment to excellence, we are lucky to get a diverse spectrum of highly-skilled professionals who feel at home when they become a part of us.

“I’ve been with the company for over a dozen years now and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.”

Ita, (pictured) who has been with the company for 20 years, said her longevity with the company was due to a special bond between the team and clients.

She said: “Twenty years of service is proof of the company’s commitment to its staff and support it has given me over the years, especially when my children were young and I had to change my hours on a number of occasions to work around them.

“At Village Vet, we have always focused on delivering the best possible care to pets and that is why clients have bonded with us. I have seen our practices and teams grow over the last two decades and our commitment to excellence has remained steady!”
