Best Boot Forward...Mighty Team Effort For Mighty Hike
- Details
Staff from a Milnthorpe animal hospital are hard training for a mighty charity effort in the summer as they look to tackle a full marathon across hilly terrain.
Eight team members from Linnaeus-owned Kentdale Referrals are taking part in the Lake District Mighty Hike to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The trek, which goes through the stunning National Park from Dalemain Mansion taking in amazing views across Ullswater Lake, takes place on Saturday, June 17.
Veterinary nurse Beth Backhouse, one of the Kentdale team members putting their best foot forward, said: “This year, team Kentdale are taking on the mighty hike for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“While the views will be spectacular, we’ll be concentrating our efforts on getting to the finish line and raising as much money as we can for this worthy cause.
“We decided to support Macmillan because it's a charity close to the team's heart and we've heard about all the amazing work the charity does for people and families suffering with cancer.”
Macmillan Cancer Support provides specialist health care, information and financial support to those people affected by cancer.
Those wishing to support Beth as part team Kentdale on the Mighty Hike can make a donation at her JustGiving page.
