From stress management to sustainability, the Linnaeus stand (F30) at this year’s London Vet Show (ExCel London, 16-17 November) is exploring a range of topics that affect the veterinary profession day-to-day.

Delegates can take a virtual reality tour of Southfields Veterinary Specialists, a £16 million start-of-the-art specialist-led referral hospital in Essex. Participants will enjoy a guided tour of areas including its diagnostics suites, innovative oncology service and dedicated feline treatment facilities.

Recognising the importance of quick reactions when making decisions in practice as well as taking some time out to support metal health and wellbeing, attendees can also try a batak reaction game, with the best scores winning one of two Apple iWatches.

There will be spaces to sit and chat, with visitors able to enjoy freshly made barista coffee throughout both days. At 5.30pm on Wednesday 16 November, all show attendees are invited to happy hour, with the stand turning into a beach party with prosecco on offer.

Giveaways on the stand include stress balls and fidget poppers to support delegates with stress management in practice. Free goody bags will include the latest Linnaeus insight reports about clinical research and sustainability.

As well as meeting the Linnaeus team on the stand, delegates can also hear from its experts at different sessions throughout the show. Andy Armitage, Clinical Director at Greenside Veterinary Practice, will be discussing stem cell therapy at Exhibitor Showcase Theatre 2 at 12.00pm on Wednesday 16 November

Andy’s session is followed by talks by three Linnaeus experts in quality and sustainability, at sessions hosted by Mars Veterinary Health, which owns Linnaeus. ‘Interactive Cases in Patient Safety’ in Gallery Suite 17 features Quality Improvement Manager Kathrine Blackie and Medical Quality Manager Sam Thompson, with the session taking place at 12.30pm and 1.40pm on Wednesday 16 November.

Later that day, Linnaeus’s Environmental Sustainability Lead Ellie West is discussing sustainability in veterinary practice with MVH in Gallery Suite 17 at 2.55pm and 4.10pm.
