Veterinary Specialists Scotland are excited to announce they are hiring for a new full-time permanent Account Manager. Vet Sepcialists Scotland is planned to be the leading multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary centre for small animals in Scotland. Line managing the Client Care Team Lead and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Accounts Manager will also be responsible for the management of the client services accounts, ensuring all client accounts are well managed, debt is controlled, and effective governance is maintained within the Linnaeus guidelines.

Main Purpose & Goals

  • Oversee all accounts administration processes to ensure smooth functioning of account and debt management, including insurance claims and payment plans.
  • Liaise with the senior leadership team in developing efficient working processes to minimise client complaints and improve customer service.
  • Upholding the group and hospital core values, setting the standards in all aspects of client care
  • Supporting and assisting the Operations Manager as and when required with the day to day running of the hospital.
  • Actively listen and provide constructive & honest feedback through meaningful conversations with your direct reports.
  • Build strong working relationships with your direct reports team members, giving equal respect for each other and working productively as a team.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of team member motivation, team working, different learning styles and different methods of assessing an employee's performance.
  • Show recognition and praise where justified.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide detailed summaries of client activity for the senior leadership team and be responsible for identifying and driving improvements, as and when needed.
  • Review existing and develop client service procedures, policies, and standards as appropriate, making changes to improve the client journey.
  • To manage the client accounts process and governance, ensuring debt is well managed, the hospital team are billing on time and processes are being followed.
  • GDPR compliance and reporting to Linnaeus/Mars requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the resourcing of the team meets the hospital needs, including recruiting and onboarding as required.
  • To carry out meaningful conversations with each of your team members, setting goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring absence and completing absence management meetings with your team.
  • Provide leadership to the client care and administration teams, in line with the Linnaeus culture and five principles.
  • Promote Associate wellbeing across the hospital.
  • Deliver the Key Performance Indicators for the Client Care and Accounts areas and provide monthly reports to the Operations Manager.
