Hours: Full Time 40hr week over 5 days - and approximately 1:7 weekend on call 1:12 weekday on call

About us

Due to continued expansion of our internal medicine department within our state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital located in Livingston, we are looking for a passionate RVN to join our Internal medicine service.

Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) is a newly established, multi-disciplinary referral hospital between Edinburgh & Glasgow that opened in October 2020. The clinic premises have been purpose built to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care, while also providing a beautiful and pleasant working environment.

The team’s core values are excellence in patient, client, colleague, and referring vet care, and we place a strong emphasis on team and collaborative working. We are looking for Veterinary Nurses who share our ethos and passion to help make VSS a supportive, stimulating, and enjoyable place to practise veterinary medicine and surgery to the highest standard.

Your role and responsibilities

As in internal medicine RVN, you will predominantly work within internal medicine.  Responsibilities include providing high quality care to patients in our wards and intensive care unit. Also, assisting with procedures such as endoscopy and advanced imaging, including radiography, ultrasound, CT and Interventional Radiography Procedures.

Working within our dynamic clinical team, the successful candidates will ideally have a good background in referral work, however this is not essential, any nurses who have at least 1 years worth of qualified experience will be fully supported with their step into referrals.
