Village Vet has a new fantastic opportunity for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to work independently and alongside other highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons at our Longstanton and Cottenham practices in Cambridgeshire. You will also be supported by a team of Nurses, Pet Care Assistants (PCA), Receptionists along with a highly experienced Village Vet central office team.

Our Longstanton and Cottenham practices have been an important part of the community for many years. Our vets have a wealth of experience between them, dedicated to providing outstanding patient care and offering a highly professional and personalised service to all of our clients. They offer a wide range of first opinion services in practice including vet and nurse consultations, behavioural advice, imaging with our digital x-ray, top of the range ultrasound machine, and perform a range of elective and more complex surgical procedures on-site. Should our patients require 24-hour care, we have the support of our two dedicated 24/7 hospitals in Cambridge available to us.

Responsibilities

  • Patient/Clinical care Working to high level of clinical care within a team. Village Vet prides itself on working to a very high standard of care and supports RCVS Practice Standards Scheme
  • Client care We strive for exceptional levels of client service and satisfaction
  • Teamwork Working within your team, and the wider hospital teams, to contribute your skills, efforts and personal strengths to help ensure a harmonious team ethos at all times
  • Management Team You will be fully supported and developed to allow you to grow and achieve your full potential.

Rota:

  • Mondays 8:30am to 2pm @ Longstanton and 3pm to 7pm @ Cottenham
  • Tuesdays 8:30am to 2pm @ Longstanton and 3pm to 7pm @ Cottenham
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am to 12pm @ Cottenham
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30am to 12:30pm @ Longstanton.
