A state-of-the-art veterinary practice in the Midlands has invested almost £40,000 to upgrade its imaging facilities for pets.

The Linnaeus-owned Woodward Veterinary Practice in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, has installed a hi-tech CDSR Small Animal DR system supplied by leading imaging company Veterinary X-rays.

Woodward’s lead vet James Alexander said the new equipment would further boost the top-quality service it provides to its patients across North Leicestershire and South Derbyshire.

James said: “This new x-ray system is regarded as the pinnacle of small animal imaging systems, with features that no other system offers.

“It really is in a class of its own and will enable us to gain far better and far quicker images of soft tissue and bone to help us diagnose injuries and illness and determine the best course of treatments.

“Our cutting-edge x-ray suite is in daily use and the new equipment is already making a major difference in the quality of service and care we can provide to our clients.”

The highly-regarded practice serves a large client base across both Leicestershire and South Derbyshire.

James said: “Our aim is to provide the best possible medical and surgical veterinary care for our patients in a pleasant, friendly environment.

“The health of our patients is our prime concern, and we aim to treat them in a professional, caring and compassionate manner.

“As this latest investment shows, we are also committed to keeping abreast of the latest developments in modern veterinary practice, to provide high-quality veterinary treatment at sensible prices.

“We work hard to develop a long-term relationship between our clients, our patients and our staff. Our dedicated team of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses will always make our pet patients feel at home.”

Woodward Veterinary Practice offers well-equipped consultation rooms, fully-equipped modern operation theatres with the latest anaesthetic equipment, a dental suite including dental
x-ray, an in-house laboratory for blood and urine analysis plus ECG and ultrasound examinations.
