A leading Worcester vets has appointed a new clinical director with a wealth of experience in caring for companion animals.

Rikki Burford has been promoted to the top position at Linnaeus-owned Brentknoll Veterinary Centre, in Worcester, as the latest move in a career which has seen her work in animal hospitals, emergency care, charity settings and private practice.

She has a wealth of experience in small animal general practice after graduating from Bristol University in 2013 and holds the title of CertVDI, Royal College Advance Practitioner in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.

Rikki has focused her clinical skillset around small animal medicine, ophthalmology and diagnostic imaging, with advanced skills in radiography, ultrasonography, CT and non-invasive biopsy techniques.

As part of her promotion to clinical director at Brentknoll, Rikki will continue expanding the internal and external diagnostic imaging referral service provided by the practice.

Rikki said: ā€œIā€™m passionate about delivering the very best care to my patients and clients and take pride in building a fulfilling and happy working environment for veterinary professionals.

ā€œI am also focused on providing our clients with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities and facilitating external referral support for primary practice veterinarians in Worcestershire and the surrounding areas.ā€

Outside of work, Rikki enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and riding her horse in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
